As we begin to grieve, I realized today that this was the first day of the rest of my life without you. From the moment I saw in your room on display at the San Francisco SPCA till this past Wednesday when you came home from the hospital we had a special connection. We could look each other in the eyes and everything made sense. You were there for me and I was there for you. I loved you more than anything or anyone can ever know. You were my cat, my Katrina and although you had to pass I will never stop loving you. I wish I could turn back time and hold you here in my arms but I realize that I can't so I must cherish the memories we had and the joy we shared.
